News interuptions, problem solving & potential partnerships
Easter Sunday. April 5th, 2015
For the whole of last week I was back in Northern Germany. Those of you who've followed Gaming floor since the early days will know I lived there from 1998 onwards. A variety of casinos and dozens of Spielhallen were visited during the trip and I'm presently sorting through images which will be posted on Flickr with a selection embedded here on the Forum. Although I was only in the north hopefully they'll give a fair impression of where the business is now in one of Europe's largest markets. It's difficult keeping up with news whilst on the road as information is scattered around the web, delivered by a variety of means and comes in so many different formats. Gaming floor was originally designed and intended to correlate international casino news, links, images and video into one daily presentation. It's strange however that after all these years I still struggle myself to keep up with what's going on if I'm out of my normal environment & routine. There has to be a solution. A must go to page that delivers and doesn't disappoint. Something which doesn't take hours of labour each and every day to maintain and update. But how can you do it effectively when screen sizes vary from 3 to 27 inches?. Not everyone speaks or reads English (especially in Asia) and the majority of those seeking specialist information usually do so first in their own language. We're all creatures of habit and that also equates to our behaviour on the Internet. The majority of you reading this now will visit no more than 20 web addresses reularily and more often than not you'll visit them pretty much in the same order. In 2015 you're more likely to be reading this on a mobile device/tablet than a desktop PC. So it's a question of solving the problem, get/regain Gaming floor's earlier traffic, sell the advertising space, earn the revenues & have some fun along the way. We only live once and I'm conscious that a massive chunk of my last 17 years has been tied to a PC. That's pretty much my objective going forward and unlike in previous times taking on partners is now very much on the table. 4,000+ Twitter followers, 1,000+ Facebook likes and pretty good visitor numbers on both Pinterest & Flickr it's not like it's going from a standing start. Most of the hard work has already been done. I'm off now to sort through 1.5K unread emails. Interested?
